Hi...
When unlocking and opening the drivers door the footwell lights come on, then fade to off when moving off. Is there anyway of keeping the footwell lights on and if so can the brightness of them be adjusted.
By default my last car (Mk 6 Golf GTD) was set up in this way, which I preferred.
If so a vag.com code or link to a code would be great as I'm taking my car in for a oil n filter change next week and I know he has the gear to do it.
Many Thanks
Martin

MartinYou don't say the age of your car and if it a facelift version I think i read somewhere that this is no longer possible but this link may help you A6 C7 VCDS Tricks - Page 51 (http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/showthread.php/132245-A6-C7-VCDS-Tricks?p=993171&highlight=footwell#post993171)

Mine stay on when driving. I do have the ambient lighting pack though maybe that's why?

We haven't managed to figure out how to enable the green hidden menu in facelift cars, so at present there's no way we know of enabling the options to control the brightness from your MMI screen. Mine has ambient lighting (and therefore the ability to adjust brightness in the MMI) so it might be possible to do a bit-by-bit coding comparison and adaptation values comparison in VCDS to see what the differences are between my car and a facelift car with Lighting Pack but not Ambient Lighting. Might be a tortuous exercise though...

You can activate footwell lights with vcds. Go to cent elect, adaption, then cannel 52 to adjust the brightness as you won't be able to adjust it through the MMI. The set value is set to 120. I changed mine to 170. Not too bright and not to dim for me .
The how to is in the tips and tricks section
