hi i recently posted a thread on my golf gti t 2001 aum with ref to trouble engaging gears ,so ive changed the oil and replaced the slave and ive noticed i still have the same problem not engaging gears when warm, but now im thinking its nothing to do with the car being warm or hot as i lost my gears again tonight and the only way to recover them was to lift the pedal back fully with my toe so to give a full throw of the clutch pedal and the gears came back .So my question is is there any reason the pedal is not completely comming back up ie is there a spring or adjustment. many thanks

The golf iv are know to suffer snapped brake pedals where it pushes the clutch master cylinder. If the pedal is not damaged then the issue will be a failing master cylinder which costs around £30.00
