Hi All,

I have the car going in on Monday, over the last 2.5 weeks the car systems appear to be failing one by one, I'm guess it's an issue with electrics.

Anyone else had something similar.

1) ACC failed - car constantly beeps and cruise control / auto emergency break unavailable.

2) Last week got a "switch off engine, check coolant" message. Topped up as it was slightly below the line. Since the message has flashed up around 6 times but messages diss appears after a few seconds. Checked coolant and engine temp each time and it's fine.

3) Today Sat Nav GPS fix failed, GPS fix thought I was at home the whole time despite 400 mile round trip. Thus rendering sat nav unusable, tried turning off / resetting etc. It's still stuck now.

I've seen people have had some of these issues individually.

This seems to be systematic, I have taken pictures of the error messages so the dealer can see these.

The car has been practicality fault free for 2.5 years until a couple of weeks ago.

Could it be caused by a failing or faulty battery?

Good suggestion, haven't seen anything to indicate the battery is struggling I.e. Not starting.

Saying that, I'm not an expert in car batteries so wouldn't know if it was 🙂.

1) ACC failed - car constantly beeps and cruise control / auto emergency break unavailable.

This issue could happen if the ACC sensor's cover is dirty. In my case, I cleaned the lenses, and the problem disappeared immediately.

I know its a different car but my Peugeot 407 used to through up random faults and change radio stations etc when battery health wasn't its best. These days the computer systems on the cars are very sensitive to voltage so a faulty battery could be giving you these errors.

What age is you car?

I had problem 2) recently and it was driving me crazy. I did some research and found out that the sensor in the coolant bottle gets covered in deposits which causes the "switch off engine and check coolant level error". I had the coolant bottle replaced and I have not seen it since it was not an expensive fix at my local indy.
