Battery problem now getting a tapping noise on passenger side from engine.

I wonder if you can help, I have a 2005 Q7 and it's been a dream however I had some battery problems (flat) I jump started the car and it run fine, this has happened a couple of times over the last week or so. The car has now developed a tapping noise under the bonnet on the passenger side. I took it to an Audi specialist who checked it in the computer and no problems were recorded. The car is running fine, it's just very noisy.. and the battery is still not charging. any ideas?

Your Alternator wont charge a faulty battery, if indeed it is a faulty battery. You need to have the battery and charging checked first of all. Do you know the age of the battery? 5 years is about average to have a good battery.
Did the garage not investigate the noise for you when they scanned for codes?
