I had my iPhone connect to via Bluetooth to my 3G+ MMI however realised that the MMI wouldn't share my iphones data connection for Audi Connect/online traffic for the Nav because the iPhone doesn't have rSAP so I had to buy a separate SIM for the car so now Audi Connect/traffic works and I also have the bonus of making calls from the car SIM which is useful in an emergency or if you forget your phone etc, however the issues now is my iPhone won't connect for calls via Bluetooth Handsfree, it is still connected for Bluetooth audio but I can't make/take calls via my iPhone.

If I remove the car SIM then the iPhone/Bluetooth fandsfree calling works again, so does that mean I can't have the car SIM and a Bluetooth handsfree available at the same time?

If that's the case then it's ridiculous as it means you either have a Bluetooth handsfree phone and no car data; or a car sim with data and calls but no Bluetooth handsfree phone connection...either way it's no good!

It makes no mention to this in the MMI user manual.

Help!

I believe there is a software update that needs to be done to the mmi to allow for dual phones. I'm sure I read about it somewhere

My 2011 A8 with MMI 3G+ had version K0097 when I bought the car. I just got my local dealer to update the MMI to K0770. This took them over 2 hours and was done using the dealer supplied SD card. They billed me for an hours labour which was decent.
My reason for the update was to allow me to use Google Earth Mapping from the Data Sim on the Sat Nav while having my iphone connected via Bluetooth. With the early version, the bluetooth connection disconnects as soon as a data sim is inserted in the slot which makes it totally unusable !!
I found this info on another forum by an A7 owner who had the same issue. I suggest you mention to your dealer that you are having issues with Bluetooth or similar to encourage them to carry out the update, apparently a lot of dealers refuse to carry out an update unless there is a "problem" with the mmi.
Hope this info helps.😎

Is there anyway that you know where I can use the data from my iPhone and still connect my iPhone by Bluetooth?

I was able to use Rsap on my android phone but when engaged it disabled my physical phone.

Can't be done to my knowledge.
The best solution is to get a cheap pay as you go data sim to put in the car and leave it there.
I've seen info about jailbreaking iphones and running an RSap App on it but I don't know if it is successful. You would also have warranty issues if it is a new phone.

iPhone doesn't support RSAP so can't be done
