Clutch pedal dropping

Golf MkIV 2000, 115bhp TDI.
6 months ago clutch pedal kept dropping after standing over night.
Changed master cylinder was okay for 3 months then it has come back again.

Same situation, get in car 1st thing clutch pedal is half way down. Have to press to floor to change gear. As you use the car during the day (after about 20 miles) pedal comes back up to top. Get home park car, when get in car next morning same situation, pedal is halfway down again.

Have been to garages for advice, some say it is the clutch wearing, then another garage says it is the master cylinder.

Any ideas.

Hi had the samilar prob lem after changing my clutch, there is a washer by the clutch and gearbox that managed to loose half of itself, the garaged changed it ( hard to get part) and everythin is all good
