Thought I'd ask as I need 2 new tyres for our 3.0 cab (235/40 x 18), any recommendations guys? Happy to pay up to £120 a piece so can go for premium brands, just wondered what everyone prefers?
Me and the mrs dont drive like lunatics (not anymore, since we've got older) just want the best we can get for grip and safety I guess

I went with continental sport contact 5 (not the contiseal) and they are sublime. Only bad point is that the tread has worn out a bit faster than I'd expected.. but I got 13000 or so out of them with some.. less than sensible driving..

I use the Avons ZV7 (was ZV5) , >20k on a Quattro :-). Tried some cheaper ones but the road noise was horrible (though they lasted longer) so went back to the Avons.

michelin cross climate. best of both worlds, a good summer tyre and a good winter tyre. great in the wet, slush and much that the roads are normally covered in.
