Upgrade help

Hiya folks, and hope you all had a merry xmas!

im removing my RCD310 and putting in a RCD310 DAB

does anyone know if the steering wheel controls will still work for the volume and mute?

and for the DAB antenna, this would be suitable?

Hi

That should just be a straight swap so the steering wheel controls should still work. Thats the same aerial I used in my old Passat when I installed a dab RCD510 to replace my old RCD300. The only issue I had was the lead wasn't long enough and I had to purchase an extension piece from amazon.

I put the aerial in the factory position in the back window of the Passat saloon which why it was too short but the reception was as good as the factory fit I had in my next B7 Passat estate.

was gonna put in front window but might try for back window, 3 door golf gtd.

Don't think it really matters as long as its as high up as possible.

For me I didn't want it in the front window and the only other place in a saloon was the rear window which is where the other aerials are anyway.
