check battery voltage and alternator output voltage, should be about 12.5V while stopped and about 14.5V when running.

I just changed to a new battery for the car a month ago. Does that have any affect on the sensor?

it will if the new battery is not being charged sufficiently or is faulty, low voltage can throw up all sorts of dash warnings but still manage to start the engine, I had similar dash warnings on a touran, the battery was not holding charge overnight as it was original and 10 years old. The dash faults would clear after around 10 minutes engine running but reappear if the car had been left overnight.
If your voltage is ok I'd recommend a full scan to look for fault codes, hopefully just a voltage issue though.
