Hi,
We are thinking of spending £2-£2.5k on a Passat.
Want to get a Tdi for the economy as the car will be doing an 80mile round trip each day on dual carriage way.
Any ideas what mpg to expect from a Tdi?
Also, is the rear seat a folding one to allow for larger loads??
Any opinions advice would be good.
Thanks
Alan

Hi,
i have a 100 bhp Passat and regularly get over 50mpg, and the computer says average is 49 mpg over last six months.
Make sure cambelt and water pump has been changed every 60000 miles or four years, this will cost you around £300 at independent.
Back seat does fold down.
Hope this helps!

Pretty much the same reply as Smeg, i have a 'V' Plate TDi 110 saloon, again the trip computer is showing an average of 49mpg and the seats do indeed fold down.
