I took of the taillights a couple of months ago to apply some tint film to them, put them back on the car just as i took them off and for the last month or so whenever it rains, the rear taillights on the boot fill up with water.
I then have to open up the covers on the inside of the boot to let all the water out.
Do the taillights on the boot come with a seal?
Has anybody faced this problem? Whats the best way to rectify?
When it rains heavy, the car throws up a rear taillight error and no light is emitted from the taillight

Can't help with the sealing issue, but you can dry out your lenses in the oven prior to fitting them to purge any remaining moisture, so long as it's a fan oven that has temperature settings down to 50C. I have dried out clusters that way before - a couple of hours at the minimum temp (or 50C) works brilliantly.

They can be sealed with a clear sealant such as silicone if needed. It's in tubes from places like B&Q

Cheers Guys, the lights dry out quite quick, its just a inconvenience especially if i have to rush out when it dark only to switch the headlights on and find an error on the taillights
i might go down the silicone route but am reluctant just incase the taillights need a bulb replacing
i thought there might e a rubber gasket type seal that could be bought?

If you do go down the silicone route before fitting the lights back on to the car. Get yourself a can of silicone spray or grease and spray around where the light is being fitted. This will prevent the tubed silicone from sticking to the car for future removal
