Hey folks,
I have an itch to put my audio kit into my A6 that was previously in my A4.
I used the car's pre-amp sub source for my separate amp and a gain control.
I'd like to do the same again with the A6.
So can anyone help with a wiring diagram to the Audi amplifier?
Anyone tee'd into the A6 source for an aftermarket amp?

Been out to look at the space on the left side of the trunk and although the volume is reasonable, the opening is too small and the radio unit would need to be relocated to the other side, it's looking like an amplifier could go in there with the radio and the sub enclosure will have to reside in the trunk space.

The sub I want to use is my Hertz mille, it has a serious magnet and would hang down way too low to run free air in the position of the crappy OEM sub.
So I think I will have to put it in front of the 40 of the 40/60 seat split.

Had most of the other side out this afternoon.
It seems like there is room, but not quite enough for my amp.
There is this device, seems like it could be audio related, but it's not like the amp in my A4 that I have a wiring diagram for, so anyone identify this?

Still needed to locate the amp, so re-located a small controller on the spare wheel well floor and made enough space for the amp and can still get the spare in there (just).

What model A4 did you have before, as I think you are going to find it difficult to tap into the amp as all the audio is sent to the amp via fiber optic cables. I would look into the audio source before fitting the amp as I think you could run into a dead-end.
This will be your central electrics module and has nothing to do with the cars MMI system.

I used the high level sub output on my B8 A4, I tried the low level input to the amp, but it did not give a clean signal.

The Knu 4ga is enough for 900wRMS @ 2Ohm into the 10" Hertz Mille.
Still haven't found where the factory amp is located, but maybe I won't bother if I have to use the factory sub high level.
Just need a ignition +ve now to turn amp on.

Depending on your model year the AMP is either the Radio unit or the main headunit in the front of the car. The only option is tapping into the speakers as all the audio in the car is transferred via fiber optic cable.

It's a 2011 car so early C7
I will trace the wires from the factory sub and hopefully find it goes the the passenger side boot space 'device'
Will have to run RCA up to the front centre arm rest console for the gain control also

The AMP is the radio module shown in your second post.

The fused sections in n the other side contain (cream colour) a strip that are ignition live.
Added a connector and a 3A fuse to switch on the amp.

Amp and wiring is now done, just waiting for the eBay high/low converter and gain control.
