Passenger door window problem

I have an intermitant problem with the off side passenger door window. It sometimes wil operate up and down from either the driver control or door control. Any ideas on what could be the cause?

No solutions but I have had exactly the same problem with my Touran - had it checked twice by dealers over last 3 years - has still returned - due for a service tomorrow so I'll keep you posted.

Had my touran serviced today - also had this problem. I was told that it was due to a build up of dirt in the grooves which the windows go up and down. This apparently causes excessive friction triggering the safety feature (eg for trapped fingers). They suggested regular cleaning with a cloth in the grooves. I'll see if it works...
