squeaking noise after cambelt change. Video. Shell i get worried?

After a week two weeks ago Since the cambelt and pump change i have got this squeaky noise as in video.


What is it and should i get worried?

I have also got this done by quite good garage but without official vat charge added on the top of the bill, so not an official repair. Any chance I can get it fixed without being " f..d up'' really? Thanks

Sounds to me like an aux belt. I'd like to check the tension in the AC belt, which it has to be tensioned by hand before the nut is tightened, as opposed to the alternator belt, which is spring tensioned.

Hard to say. If it's an aux belt, then your concern should be to check if the alternator is charging properly, as you don't want to lose electrical power. If this is fine, you may see issues with power steering and air conditioning, but these aren't immediately critical.

Again, I'm only advising you based on the assumption that this is an aux belt issue. I'd proceed with caution until you can confirm this.
