Dealer phoned this am to advise of a tech bulletin affecting most A6 and A7.
Cars built from 5th September have revised Co2 figures and reduced fuel consumption figures. Sure enough the Audi website now shows the revised figures.
Most annoying as my A7 on order (and built this week) has gone from 118 to 122 which puts it into VED band D and means an extra £80 tax a year. Combined fuel consumption has gone down from 62.1 to 60.8 which was probably unobtainable anyway.
All as a result of the VW emissions scandal apparently

thats handy then, if 1 million cars are affected thats an extra 80 million quid raised for hm govt.. when most cars built pay zero or 30 quid a year in tax and the govt see less and less money, something had to give... scandal ??? conspiracy theory, who knows...

Take a look at the new car tax rules. Any car that's value is over £40k and first registered after 1st April 2017 will be paying £450 a year for the first five years, so the government is making a bit more that that!

Next car is gonna have to be at £39,999 😄

I think a lot of cars that are just over the £40k will suddenly have a price drop £39,999 when the manufacturers realise there's been a big drop in their sales. I'm waiting on my A6 Avant BE ( currently sitting on the dock at Emden where it's been for almost two weeks!!) Buying it now means tax of £30 a year, but registration after 1st April it would've meant £450 and no A6 for me!
Like the benefit in kind it's based on a retail price and not the negotiated price.
I've had discounts of 20%+ so on a £50k car it can cost less than the £40k limit for the high road tax.
What will happen is the everything will be retro fitted after purchase to keep under the 40k
