my car has the airbag light on. scanned it with vag com
shows 01739 crash sensor for front air bag pass side g284
open circuit mil light
i have looked at the plug under the seat that seems ok. i gather the front sensor isnt by the seat belt tensioner?
has anyone had any luck with this kind of fault
thanks

Sometime the connectors just need a clean and wiggle

i think you will find the crash sensor under the carpet, around the front seat area, so seat out, carpet up. it may be swimming in a pool of water.

I have found the culprit the Internet said the passenger side was our drivers side it was the passenger side after all connector wire was broken.
Problem is its broke inside the connector so I'm on the look out for a connector

Cut the wires and heat shrink together again,
This is often done a lot due to bad connector contacts.
In other words do away with the connector

thanks all. the wires were broke inside the connector so couldnt do anything with them. went to a local scrappy and got one off with some wire and rejoined. no problems since
