Hi all,
This is a strange one. I bought the car a few days ago and did all the usual checks etc and the car seemed like a good one. I topped up the oil the following day to maximum.
Fast forward to today just two days later and there is very little oil above the minimum on the dipstick. There is no smoke on start up and no smoke when you drive it hard. The performance is still there however the engine sounds very knocky, my father's mark 4 sounds very smooth even though it has done a considerable amount of miles more. His also does not use oil from one service to the next. Any ideas on where to start? No fault codes either.
