Hi. I hope someone can give some advice.
I collect my car on Friday from long term airport parking where the service includes a hand wash and inside car cleaning.
When the employee brought my car to me I noticed that the left side of my MMI display had a grey "filter" over the entire left 1/3 of the screen. All colours on the screen are washed out and cloudy.
This has never happened before and the person working at the car park / car wash was as surprised as me.
I am currently waiting to hear from them with regards to an insurance claim.
Has anyone seen something like this before and if so what was the cause / solution?
Thanks in advance.

Try an MMI Reboot to see if it will clear unless you need it in the current state to pursue the claim.
Any airport car park that wants the Keys for you car in my opinion this a bad thing to do.

Unfortunately I have already tried the 3 button reboot with no luck.
I think this is likely to be a display failure perhaps due to excessive pressure being used to clean the display (the anti glare coating is also gone)
I hope that this is the case and not a first stage of a more general MMI failure.

Could be due excessive pressure, still before buy new, try swap with somebody to test it out first.
If anticlare is gone, it must been very long rubbing(i never let touch the screen or cluster if using cleaner service).

It looks like im going to have to buy a new screen and attempt the swap.
Can anyone tell me if any coding or component protection should be expected?

Just wanted to give you all an update.
300€ for a replacement (new version) screen and 45min work for me to replace the display and all is back to normal again.
Thanks all for advice and comments.
