My Audi is A4 B8 09 reg. I read on some thread saying the car using timing chain instead of timing belt. If the car uses timing chain, does it need replacing? I know the fix service price chart says timing belt.
Does clutch service apply to multitronic gear box?

Which engine you have? If 1.8 or 2.0 petrol and chain tensioner etc has not been replaced yet, do it quickly!

Regarding clutch service as far i know, not for multitronic!

My is the 1.8 TFSI engine. The car is going in to Audi to get the multitronic gear oil change on 21st September. I will ask about the timing belt. Even if the car use chain it still need replacing?
Is good to know the clutch service is not needed for multitronic.

1.8 is same as 2.0 they both using chain, factory tensioner is common fault there. My one fail on 96000 miles, but i was lucky, no internal damages as you can read many had from the thread i posted!

My car is on 44500 miles at the moment. I will ask Audi about that when my car is going in for multitronic oil change. I have bought 1 year extended warranty with Audi.
