Electric boot lock problem - final pull/close

The electric boot lock on my Q7 has stopped working. this is the one on the car which does the final pull down close. i have had a look and seen the little spring was broken, so replaced this and it still would not work, I have watched the boot close from inside and held the little microswitch to replicate the striker plate going into the trim slot and seen that the motor does not move. I have replaced the motor and mechanism part with another one from ebay and it is the same, no movement.

I thought then no power so have looked high and low for a fuse or relay, but cannot find one for the boot lock mechanism

Does anyone have any advice, or know if the fuse or relay for this is located somewhere else. the central locking works, the boot close motors work as does the lock on the hatch.

I was having ticking noises with mine when closing so I read the fault codes with my reader and found the lock mechanism was faulty, it even gave me the code for audi to tell which part it was . The new lock was about 30ish quid from audi.
