I have just taken delivery of my new A6 Ultra. Just taking some time to get to know it (first Audi).
However, I came across this in the menu and it concerned me. It is saying there are 3 keys registered to this car!
I have been provided with 2. I intend to ask the dealer if there is a third key out there as I would not like the thought of that.
Any thoughts or advice before I do?
Many thanks.

Maybe it's the small black plastic key?

2 remote fobs and a plastic emergency key is the third.

Ahh, great. Saved me looking stupid. I didn't think the plastic key was any more than a dumb mould.
Thanks

Hi. There are the two full size fob keys and a smaller plastic key as a final backup. You should have got all 3.

Oh jeez, am guessing you were stationary and were shunted?
Everyone OK I trust and that the you're not penalised in any way/shape/form.
Sad at anytime but on a car less than a month old doubly so :(

Slowing on a motorway due to traffic buildup and the person behind didn't. Had it assessed yesterday and awaiting a booking slot for repairs. The other driver is covering the lot including replacement car. Biggest worry is the retracted tow bar that got shoved into the floor.

Oh dear! Glad you're not hurt - that's the most important thing. I had a similar experience with my last car:
Bash!! (www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/showthread.php/140241-Bash)!!
The main thing is to make sure they repair it correctly, including the back of the boot cavity. If the damage is similar to mine, they will need to pull it back to an approximation of its original shape. Have you looked inside the boot under the false floor to see what the damage is? After the repair, make sure the spare wheel still fits properly in its well and that the towbar works correctly. I hope they do a better job of finishing the paintwork than I experienced!
Cheers!
MF.

Not yet seen inside the boot as once it opens it is likely not to close again. The external floor has not moved much by the tow bar but I will be all over it to ensure it is perfect.

Hopefully the Tow bar cross member has saved you from a lot more damage. Bet the front of his is a REAL mess. Are you doing it through Audi Ensurance I believe they send it to authorised Audi repairers so it gets done properly... Good luck

Elansear,
I made the same mistake, posting on an old thread. I just wanted to know what the outcome was but I appreciate the thread is a bit old for asking that question. Doh...:o
L3nnox, Funny, and noted. Hopefully once I've been a member longer I shall pay more attention to dates etc. Enjoyed the quote though! :beerchug:
