New A6 Avant - Android Auto

Surprised there are no posts about this, I'm about to trade in my 2015 FL BE 2.0 for a new BE 3.0 and I'm very interested in the smartphone interface which gives car play and android auto, can anyone who has just received a new car give any feedback on this option and how well it works!

Lack of posts is down to two things. Firstly the 2017 cars are only coming through now (best not to call it a face lift as the changes this time are just standard year to year spec tinkering) and because Android Auto is a £250 option which was not available in the MY2016 non of the cars built to the new spec but ordered under the old spec had it specced. It only became apparent when the brochure was published in late June, most including dealers assumed it was tweet to the tech pack spec.

Would expect to start herring about real experiences of it from October once cars ordered in July by owners prepared to spend the extra receive them cars. In strange way if you buy the tech pack you have much less of a need for the features than if you have the standard system, but The Auto and CarPlay features are not available with RMC

That makes sense, i might see if a dealer has one with smartphone interface, I'm going to place my order within the next 2 weeks, love my 2.0 but not enough power for me.
