Does the multimedia player play dvds

I am looking at a 2012 model tomorrow, it has an aux in (no ami), and sd slots, but do they all play dvds or is it only certain spec mmi systems?

Hi , pretty sure its only cars with tech pack can play DVDs , better to find a car with tech pack, bigger and better screen res , colour drivers screen, AMI etc , comparing the two is like night and day
