The Owner's Manual for my recently-acquired A4 must have been subjected to being dropped in a bath as a lot of the pages are stuck together making sourcing information difficult. I'm searching around for a replacement.
Meanwhile, can somebody advise me on the max. weight I can carry in the back of my car with the rear seats folded down?
Thanks.

Car weight is 1540kg and maximum weight is 2090kg, but bear in mind that's distributed weight. If it was me, no more than 250-300kg. If you hit a pot-hole at maximum weight you risk breaking a spring or worse. Inflate tyres to maximum PSI fully loaded and keep to around 55mph and take time to brake.
An interesting thread here on tyre load capacity.

Thanks for your reply and the link to a very interesting thread.
The reason I was asking is that as I make biodiesel I very often collect a fair amount of veg. oil.
My tyres are new Dunlop Winter Sports 3D and are rated at 98H, so I suppose they will be up to the job.
