My A6 avant died last week so am on the hunt for a replacement, however the estate variety of these cars seem to be very hard to come by, i can only find one for sale in the UK
Used 2008 Volkswagen Passat R36 for sale in Buckinghamshire | Pistonheads (http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/volkswagen/passat/volkswagen-passat-3-6-v6-r36-dsg-4motion-5dr-rare-car-one-owner-f-vw-s-h/5416017?v=c)
I have nothing to compare this to, is it expensive, is it cheap?
Does anyone know of any others out there, also if i do decide to go and have a look (its a looooong way from me) what should i be looking for aside from the obvious

It's also not a traditional dealer but an online guy / syndicate who must have the cars stored elsewhere as there is no lot in Hatter's Lane (cheaper overheads perhaps?). I should know I lived in High Wycombe for 30 years and my daughter lives around the corner from him / them. It is a fairly rare car in the UK and good examples are harder to find.

2009 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT R36 ESTATE FSI S-A BLUE FVWSH NAV FISCON REVERSE CAMERA | eBay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2009-VOLKSWAGEN-PASSAT-R36-ESTATE-FSI-S-A-BLUE-FVWSH-NAV-FISCON-REVERSE-CAMERA-/322159282050?fromMakeTrack=true)

Not every car is where you want it. My Bro went to Scotland to get the right BMW 3 series M Sport convertible. Lucky he had a Honda CR-V to trade in so drove it up there swapped and drove the BMW back. £100 in fuel mind you.
Question is why an R36 when there are hundreds of Audi S Line and RS equivalents out there?

My Mk IX went to Edinburgh :crying: trailered behind a Landrover Discovery. 515miles
>> eBait "!CAT D REPAIRED -- GRILL IS ALSO MISSING FROM A ACCIDENT I HAD IVE NEVER BOTHERED REPAIRING IT"
IMO Silver is a body colour that merges into background
The R36 has a different engine code with 20 more HP (but less torque), a 6-speed DSG transmission instead of a traditional 6-speed automatic, a more aggressive suspension, and R-line cosmetics as OEM.
In case you haven't seen, hope you find this link useful? Good luck in your hunt. Were I to be staying with VAG and wanted bigger engine would go Phaeton

I'd go for a Audi B8 A4 3.0 tdi Avant , more mpg , more tuning potential and drives better with it's quattro 40 front / 60 rear split .
Old 50/50 gives 4wd classic wide understeer but with 60 at back it cancels it out with a bit of oversteer that makes the nose tuck in .
