Hello, I am loving my Golf MK7 GTD, specced to my liking, and also recently bought a B6 Passat estate 2.0 TDI 140 BHP (I think).

It is a lovely car to drive, I had DSG in my MK5 Golf and this Passat has the same. should have chosen this is my golf haha, thought I would switch to manual hehe.

I am wondering if there is anywhere to get a cheap leather interior? door cards not essential. It is an estate model and the basic one at that, no MP3, AC or electric windows in the rear, hence not too worried about door cards. It is a lovely car to drive around and its mainly used for DIY jobs between me and my folks, hence the purchase (and reliability).

I am looking to spec this out a bit higher than it is. if anyone has any idea about leather interior, i would be interested, even travel for it.

Car details:

56 plate B6 Passat estate DSG, full VW service history. Electric windows in the front.

Also looking good as re-furbed the wheels myself and fitted new VW caps in the centre, not one bit of rust on the body and engine bay is gleaming, not just for age, but looks like new,

After trundling around all the wheel shops I could find, and finding all the weird and wonderful shapes available (gave spinners a
miss ), eventually had my OEM 16" Catalunias powder coated black with the calipers done in heat resistant yellow. £40 a corner then (notes) about £55 a corner now. Fashionable economy option

But staying with 16" rims means there's no "fashion" upgrade to lowering as the 30mm drop with the usual Eibach Pro kit from standard height on an estate doesn't hide the tyre edges inside the wheel arch. You need to go to 17" rims for the "look". Lowering more than 30mm with coilovers means risk of bottoming out in addition to weird handling. Slammed looks the part -- depends how much of a street fashionista you are and how much handling you're prepared to sacrifice.

Can't help with the interior but they do come up from time to time. Alcantara is what I've got and like. Match whatever seat options you've already got -- memory seats won't work without considerable re-wiring, new control module etc., in a non-memory seat car.

Alcantara is nice I agree. Especially heated. But needs Regular brushing/treatment.
Is also readily available from most brokers.
