Sat Nav Traffic Info

Hi...

I was using my sat nav yesterday on a return trip to Birmingham airport. The sat nav was giving me updates on road incidents. How does it get this info as I have no data plan connection to the sat nav.
BTW I have the Tech Pack version.

I think, you received the TMC information. If you see a [TMC] [TP] signal on the bottom left on your MMI display, you can be sure about it. The TMC data comes from the radio stations, so you don't need to have a data connection to get the traffic informations.
