Audi A4 b8 rear halogen to leds

Hi i have a audi a4 on a 2012 reg and the rear lights are halogen. I was looking to put the led lights on the back and ive seen some but the plugs are different. I don't know if its possible to change them over. I did some research and some adaptors need to be bought. Anyone done this mod before or something.
