View Full Version : "surge" in power at around 2200rpm when accelerating

Hi,

I've finally got my W Reg Alhambra Turbo working again, but it surges (1/2 second burst every 5 seconds) at about 2200rpm.

The Car jolts forwards a little each time.

It seems ok before and after this engine speed.

The Turbo has only just started working again (I solved it months ago, but managed to disturb the new vac pipe I put on to the actuator, only refitted it on wednesday).

No obvious error codes on VagCom software.

Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

Thanks,

-Andy

Do a measuring blocks 008 group 011 zones 2 and 3 graph WOT acceleration run in 3rd gear from 1000rpm to max and post a screen grab of the result.

Thanks Crasher, will do,

I only have Rosstech freeware edition, is this possible to do on that?

Thanks,

-Andy.

hi, i have a 2008 2.0tdi and 4 weeks ago i had the exact same problem you describe a surge at 2 to 2.2k rpm. mine was a faulty EGR valve.
