Hi Guys.
I drive a vw caddy tdi and had the need to swop it's old BJB 8v 1.9tdi motor with a BKD 16v 2.0tdi as it's the only tdi replacement I could get at the time I did the engine swop. Not regretting the move though.
The problem I sit with at this stage are the turbo broke in just about 3000 km and the specialists say that the turbo worked to hard. So my question are what's the normal boost for a BKD? Mine boosted at 1.5bar on full load and spiked to 1.7bar for a split second when I hit uphills but always dropped down back to 1.5bar in about 2sec, I do believe that could be my electronic boost gauge as well that makes the spike as it's only for a very short while.
I do believe that the BKD motor came in some tdi golf's, A4's and A3's
