Battery age

My A6 is now 7 years old and still on the original Moll battery.
I have no issues at the moment.
How long did you run with your original battery before it had to be replaced?

My A3 is still on its original battery at 7 years old.

The A6 had a replacement at ~6months old but ran for that battery right through my ownership and is still probably in it at 8.5yrs and 135k+ miles.

If it ain't broke don't fix it.

My Passats Varta 110 didn't fail but got a bit weak with the CCA after 13 years so got a Yuasa 5000 .

8 year's and only replaced it due to preventative maintenance. Still have the old battery and use it as a jump-start/emergency battery.
