My car was registered in Feb 05, done 65K and looks and drives great.
Wheels though are looking tired so I'd like to upsize the wheel/tyre package.
The set up on the car is 16 inch. 205.55 R16 which I believe is standard.
I have anticipated that economy, acceleration and ride may be compromised but I've heard that there may be speedo problems and I don't want to upset the Quattro system.
Any tips, advice and especially any no go areas would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Peel.

Do you want to go 17 or 18.
my cab has 17" 5 spoke as standard and they look ok, my Sline saloon has the Ronal 5 spoke 18 which fill the arches better than the 17" and also the offset on the 18" are different and make the stance of the car better. Be careful with what you buy as the offset on the Audi A3 5 spoke Ronals is different to the A4. Best bet is to have a look online, I personally love the look of the BBS alloys on the cab, especially when they fill the arches with spacers and lowered a tad.

Appreciate the feedback rc1989.
My cab is silver with blue hood.
Folk look at the twin exhaust and style and assume its a ralley sport.
In truth its underpowered maybe but a lovely cruiser.
If I'm going to make a change I'd would go for 18s.
Looked at online alloy/tyre providers and like the Axe range. Wondered how the EX18 would look? Maybe you could glance and give me your opinion.
I never usually deviate from norm so this is a big deal for me. Meantime I'll look at BBS, any particular model?
Cheers,
Peel.

Put Audi cabriolet in google images and have a look at the pictures of different wheels, I like the twin spoke RS4 wheels and the "Y" spoke like the BBS alloys, it's a difficult decision, check the offset too or your wheels will stick out / into the arches too much.
