2011 S4 tapping

Seems to be coming from the LHS of the engine. Anyone have any ideas?

This does seem to be coming from the high pressure fuel pump, driven by the LHS camshaft.
Does anyone else have this noise? If you put a screwdriver on the pump and listen it's quite pronounced.
I don't know of another 3.0T S4 around my area so have nothing to compare with unfortunately.

Whilst mine isn't an S4 (I have the 3.2 V6 A4 which is basically the same engine) it sounds the same as yours. I've always had quite a pronounced tapping - same with the A3 2.0T. I think it may be these FSI engines and the injectors.

Thanks for that. This isn't injector tick however, does seem to be fuel pump related.

I have same engine and cant say it sounds like yours in the video.

It's a shame you are not closer so we could compare side by side.
The video does make it sound worse than it is possibly.
