Hi there, I have a 2008 2.0TDI mk5 140bhp BKD about 59k Miles
Car runs and starts fine apart from random lumpiness at idle, sometimes its when i first start her up cold, other times its when I have driven a good 20-30miles and am sat waiting in a car park.
The second problem is randomly when at motorway speeds, (about 75~), in 6th gear, around 2200rpm, the car gets a power fluctuation,as if the drive disengages then kicks back in, only for a split second. only at that speed and in that gear. Have been at that same speed in 5th to see if it happens but nope. also cannot reproduce the same problem at any other speed or rpm.
Have plugged it in, had a fault code for a missfire on cylinder one, cleared it about 2 months ago and it has not re-appeared so I assume un-related.

The car was re-mapped about 6 years ago by superchips but the problem only started about 6 months ago.

Any kind of help will be appreciated,
Thanks
Russell

*EDIT**
Will also add, car is recently serviced, with all new filters (air oil and fuel), with new oil. but problem was there before hand, leaning me away from a fuel issue, as the car is capable of hitting its top end (near 130mph) without issue or the power problem.

New addition is that it seems to happen at around 2200rpm in any gear now, 4th gear around 50mph, 5th gear around 60mph, and 70ish in 6th gear, always when around 2200rpm though, still no error codes

Dont know if this helps but i was experiencing the same issue. But mine was happening through all gears and rev ranges

Got to the point where i had garage emissions pop up on the dash. I used my fault reader when it was doing this and came up as fuel temp sensor circuit A as having an issue. This was when i had the emissions light on or not.

Maybe worth getting that checked? Think the sensor was 20-30 quid from VW
