Hello,
First of all I need to say that I do not have online services in my car (no sim slot in the dash between sd card slots). But I enebeled NAD functions in green menu, just to enebeled wi-fi. Now I have another option when I try to connect with bluetooth for Car Phone (See picture), which (as I read on the other forums) uses rsap to connect directly to the sim card an also enebles usage of data connection from that sim card (to have this option I think that you must be at least on k770 update and I am currently on k783).
Becasue I have samsung galaxy S5, I do not have rsap as default (as any other android phone or iPhone), but there is an app that enebeled it if you have rooted phone (which I have). I installed all pre instrucitons and here is the link (http://www.android-rsap.com/) to the webpage
Now when I am trying to connect with the car phone I am still getting message, that it was unable to connect to the car phone, but there is no problem to connect to handfree and audio player.
So it is possible to have data connection via bluetooth? any additional info would be great.

Hi, do you have sim card slot in dashboard, if not then you are lacking AUDI connect and you won't be to connect through Bluetooth, I have same problem on my a8

As I mentioned I do not have sim card slot. I now that there can be activeted online services (google earth, gas prices,...) via green menu and that are not directly connected to audi connect and they are working only with 3G data connected. I also can not find the reason why would I need audi connect to simply get 3g data, because this is realted do the bluetooth compatibilites and not audi connect services.

Audi connect comes with different hardware, as I said, I have the same problem, the same error and everything, I checked all phones, LG g4 which comes with rsap from factory, just can't do it because of hardware

adding more information.
Person who works for AUDI dealer offered me mmi unit with different hardware and he said it will work 100% with rsap phone. So they(people at dealers) know which unit is compatible. He wanted £500 for unit.

Hello again.
damtom85 I did some more research and i can not say that your statement is not true, but I just can not find any info, that would confrom it but I also can not find any that would conform mine. :) on this link (http://audirevolution.net/forum/index.php?topic=2443.0), there is a guide, how to enable online services in the cars without sim slot by adding aditional router that is connected via AMI usb cable. So my thinking is that there are all necessery software available to enable online services and from that I am also think, that there must be no diference in bluetooth module. I also checked options for audi A7 and A6 in our country and there are no optons for different bluetooth modules. Only thing that must be selected, when adding audi connect is audi mmi navigation plus with mmi touch wihich I have also in my car (but if you select with audi connect, you probbably will get sim slot). So I am almost sure that this is only matter of software coding or mybe enebeling some modules in green menu.
I think that this offer from your dealer is just a replacment for an used MMI console with sim slot (that is my opinion), or maybe you can get some more info of a part number for unit, that your dealer claims that will support rsap so I can do more research on that.

Yes I agree about retrofit. But this just proves my version that there are some head unit which comes without proper hardware. Btw the way if you read my thread about online services, the other users confirm what I said. And I was disbeliever in my thread, but then again person who works for dealer confirm this for me.
Out of curiosity, I am connecting with this forum with tapatalk and I can't see what year of car you have?

I think I found my answer, damtom85 you are right. My friend works at Audi Dealer, and he checked in dealer systems all the installation codes in one of the audies, that came in service with SIM slot and then he compared it with codes in my car. Well the different is that audi with SIM card slot have installation code 9ZW-Mobile Phone Preparation and mine have installation code 9ZF Mobile phone preparation with hands-freespeaking system.
I must also said that my car have the installation code without lane assist (I did not remember code name), but this is not true since I enebeled it by doing some coding with vagcom. So there is still a little chance that this is only software matter and that just nobody did not yet try to activate it.
I have an Audi A7.

and another +1 for my thinking. I do not see any reason why would audi install WI-FI antena in the car without SIM slot?? It is simply useless and it is also turned off by default. I think that 5F electronic is simply the same due to lowering cost of manufacturing, they just change the front dash with or without sim slot.

The other unit comes with different, modem/router and sim card slot, if you have a look on eBay, you can see the difference between them.
WiFi is for service purpose only
