Central Locking

Hi everyone,
Me and the missus bought a beautiful 2002 GT TDI 130 this week but we seem to have a central locking issue that has risen its ugly head.

Simply when locking and unlocking the car with the key fob the Drivers door doesn't always lock and unlock with the other 3 doors and the boot. When using the key in the drivers door as you would expect all doors and boot lock and unlock.

Any help and advise would be greatly appreciated.

Probably a faulty door lock module or Microsoft inside it , lots of issues with door locks . some people strip the lock down but it's easier just to replace the lock

My wife had the same issue with her Mk4 Golf and we ended up replacing the door lock module.
Apparently it's a common fault and I don't think there's a worthwhile shortcut.
