A4 2.5 tdi quattro estate cluncking rear diff

I recently bought an older A4 tdi quattro estate care, a 2004mode, 150k miles. She is other wise fine but i have noticed a clunck that i beieve is coming from the rear diff. It happens in 1st gear as i pull away , it also happens if i am turning iether way in low gears but its continuous clunk clunk clunk until i straighten out th wheels. Anyone know whats happening to me old smoker

Not completely sure but sounds like CV joints (constant velocity joints) to me.
They are the ball bearings connecting the half shaft axles to the differential on one side of the axle and to the wheels on the other.
Sure someone on here knows more about it. But that would bey guess as it's what it sounds like on my old VW bus.
