loss of electtrics

While driving I suddenly lost all elecs on dashboard, speedo, revs, indicators and warning lights etc. I returned home (1/2mile or so) and left car for about an hour. Started it again and all elecs ok.
Can anyone suggest the fault? will it happen again?

Hi, if you are still encountering this problem, I would suggest checking the connections to the battery. In particular, the Negative connection.

Open the bonnet, remove the black plastic cover from the battery & very carefully (remember there is some power in these batteries), use a 10mm socket to ensure the connections are firm and tightened.

Many Thanks, had already checked battery terminals and they seemed ok. Problem has not occured again, so keeping fingers, toes,et all crossed!
