2002 audi a4 2.5tdi engine swap

Hi there

could someone help me please i need to get the cam belt changed but i have been quoted over £700 all in including water pump.

anyone know of a place in leicestershire that could do it cheaper.

also getting it mot'd this week hope it goes well...lol but cam belt was changed in 2009 so if it goes kaput what engine can i replace it with at present it is a AYM.

im asking because i can afford to get it done but next month,not now. just had gearbox ecu done now i know why it was a £1000 cheaper than others again lol

no problems with car now no smoke just the std radio issues but not a problem wife uses an ipod so shes happy.

its a big job a timing belt, and you need some special tools, including a bar to line the cams up with and of course the front of the car needs to be put in service position. the parts are not cheap but you should be able to get it down to 500 all in. without pricing it up thats about what i would charge, maybe a little more, maybe less. thats still a lot cheaper than changing an engine. a lot cheaper and a lot easier.
