Hi All,
I need to change discs/pads on my 2001 2.5 TDI Allroad. I know there are two front disc diameters, and from trying to measure through the wheel mine look to be around 290mm. Looking on a few parts sites they seem to list a 321mm or a 255mm for C5 4BH??
Can anyone confirm a decent source of reasonable quality discs and pads and the correct size I'm looking for? Needs to be fairly cheap, but not bargain basement stuff!
Cheers

Probably best getting your hands dirty and taking a wheel off to be sure.
Someone may have fitted larger discs/calipers in the past.
Euro car parts, GFS etc for parts. Shop around.

Thanks Rowdy. They are definitely standard fitment, I've changed them before myself and they are off the shelf Allroad size ......... my local motor factor has two sizes listed. Was just hoping someone else with the same car knew this off the top of their head, otherwise like you say it's time to whip a wheel off!

The definitive way -
All parts have an associated PR number. If you look at the label on the spare wheel well or the inside page of your owners manual, you will see the chassis no plus all the PR codes (ie parts inventory) for your vehicle.
In particular, the second line below the "Paint codes line" (something like LZ9W/LV7W) contains the Rear Disc, Battery and Front Disk pr nos. (Something like 1KD J1R 1LA). If you give me the first and third codes on this line, I will look up the parts manual for your vehicle and give you the Audi part nos and dimensions of the disks.
Last TWO full set pads/discs changes from Mtec on the bay -drilled & groved discs front and rear for my 2002 Allroad. Very good vale and performance.

Hi, thanks for your help. Here's the codes. Dimensions for the discs will be perfect.

Ok - here are the details for disks and pads for your vehicle:
Front: PR No 1LX Pt No 8E0615301AD Size: 320x30mm 5/112 Desc: Brake Disc (Vented)
Pt No 4B0698151S Desc: 1 Set of bake pads for disc brake
Rear: PR No 1KD Pt No 4B0615601B Size: 255x10mm 5/112 Desc: Brake Disc (Vented)
Pt No 8E0698451L Desc: 1 Set of bake pads for disc brake
One point, if ordering from other than Audi (which you will most certainly do), make the point that the front pads
are the ones with the MALE connector for pad thickness and not the FEMALE connector (which are pads for year 2006 onwards
which also have different spring connectors on the rear of the pads).

We can supply very good quality Ferodo DS Performance pads. They are not very cheap, but have great initial bite, very good stopping power, and last for long time. Please PM me if you are interested.
