Hi, I`m new to this forum so will try to give you a brief description of what has happened.
My Audi has been written off by my insurance company. They have given me a poxy 625 quid and my car back as a pay out. Impossible to replace it for that !!
The engine is fine. No damage, Still running perfectly (only done 178000 miles). The gearbox is clunking into gear but not moving :(.
After reading countless forum chats I`d say its the gearbox ECU. I have a complete car in Portugal where I live but it has a manual gearbox. (Engine blew on it).
Am I right in assuming that it doesn't have a gearbox ECU... so sorry if its a daft question but you never know!!!
Also, because the engine is fine am I also right in assuming that the main ECU wont need replacing or fixing.
I`m more used to fixing older cars that don`t have all this fancy annoying electrical stuff. (Mk 1 Golf Cab)
Thanks in advance

Hi. You find the gearbox ECU in a black plastic box under the floor carpet, cars right side. Disconnect the battery + asap, get the gearbox ecu out and dry it up, if you,re lucky it be all good after that
