Hi Newbie and not very motor vehicle centric so please be gentle
As above have a 1900 60 plate t5 transporter and has been a good van except problems with sensors in the exhaust which have caused it to go into limp mode a few times - generally pleased
Today as soon as i put the key into the ignition on the display have the warning - not saying its a warning tbh KEY BAT - aha i thought the battery in the key needs replacing will have to get on that
But i will use the spare till i get a new battery - except it says that with the new key as well
Any ideas dont wont to be let down by a flat battery if if its not to do with the key
Many thanks for your patience reading this

Welcome to VWAF :)

Best thing to do is get the car scanned for faults.

There are a few threads out there on this subject but none of them conclude with anything of any note (nor do they say it is anything to be overly concerned about)

One such thread is here;

Google Translate (https://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=ru&u=http://vwbus.su/showthread.php%3Ft%3D1318%26page%3D3&prev=search)

It begins with someone explaining how to change the key fob batteries but on page 3 there is a procedure that appears to have cleared the warning message, but the crude Russian/English Google translation makes it a bit hard to follow. Good luck!
