Hi Folks
I mentioned before in a previous post that the diff on my 2006 LT35 has developed a whine and, following Zola's advice, was looking to replace the back axle but my finances at the moment won't allow it so was wondering if anyone on here had any experience of additives.
I've removed the backplate of the casing and cleaned out the diff (there was plenty of oil in it but it did look rather glittery). all the diff gears look to be in fair condition considering the van has done 200k miles so I suspect the diff may have been run low on oil at some time (I've put around 20k on the van since i've owned it) and suspect the pinion bearing is the problem as it looks to sit fairly high up in the casing.
I've refilled the diff with a slightly heavier oil but that has made little difference so was thinking of adding something from Wynns, Liqui Moly or Forte and would appreciate any opinions.
Thanks
