I'm not sure if it is broken, but my fuel cap will not close with a click. What I mean by that is that I can't close it and press it to open it again. Instead, I actually have to put my finger into a little opening and pull it out.

When I looked at the mechanism, it seemed to look fine, maybe someone tried to break into it, I have no idea.

Any help? :zx11:

And also, I can actually open it when the car is closed.

Mine was in for a service this week and they replaced the fuel flap actuator although I had not had a problem. It had shown as a fault. You should take it to the dealer as it will still be under warranty.

Ok, I will see about that. Thanks.

Common fault buddy. What's even worse Audi know all about it.

If your car is under warranty FOC replacement.

If not new actuator assembly.

Mine jammed shut and the emergency release wouldn't open it. I've just had it replaced under warranty and now have an overflow pipe hanging loose behind the NSR tyre. There's about 2-3 inches of it hanging out behind the wheel arch liner and it rattles against the silencer.

Anyone know if it should be that exposed? My Suzuki dirt bike has similar pipes but its not something I would expect of Audi.

I'm also surprised that it's not clipped given the proximity to a hot-ish exhaust. My dealer said he didn't think they were clipped, but I don't want to be fobbed off.

Time to get the endoscope out I think.

The allroad rear valance has some "chicane" bars (I don't know how else to describe them) moulded in on the O/S but not on the N/S. I've trapped the end of the pipe in these, but couldn't see if there was anything securing the pipe further up; not that I could access it.

I imagine other models will have something similar.
