Tal lights A6 C7 replacement with C7.5 lights

Is it possible to change tail lights of my 2012 A6 C7 3.0TDI Quattro with tail lights of the 2015 C7.5 facelift model? What would be the cost of the parts? I found a video on youtube suggesting that it is possible, but there is no further information.

In perspective just the parts (exc bumper if required) come up to a shade below £900, so the actual cost of the upgrade isn't that comparitavely expensive.
