Disconnecting Battery

Folks I'm going to install a replacement steering wheel in our A6 here and just want to check if I need to do anything different when disconnecting the battery. Is it just a case of disconnecting the negative as usual? I saw reference to a disconnecting procedure on a B8 where the ignition needs to be on and a battery monitor control unit needs unplugged.

Do I need to do the same in a C7?

In answer to my own question, yes that is the correct procedure in case anyone else would be wondering.
