I have recently bought a 2010 A4 Avant 2.0 TDI (136). My first piece of Audi ownership. Seems to be a great car. I was looking over it and am keen to wield my own spanners on it wherever possible, I noticed the aux belt tensioner has a significant vibration so wanted to change the tensioner along with the belt and alternator clutch too. Is there also an idler to change?

It seems very tight down the front of the engine between the radiator. Can it all be removed without having too remove too much of the car? I have done a search but cannot find any comments or useful tips. Any help or advice gratefully received.
TIA
James

Hi
I know when the timing belt needs doing practically the whole front of the car has to come off.
The father in laws old b7 had the alternator clutch fail we managed to replace the belt but had to do alot of it by feel with a lot of blue words and grazed knuckles.
