VCDS Question

Hello guy's, first post so please be kind. ;)

I own a 61 plate VW Phaeton 3.0L v6 TDI and want to keep on top of things and change a couple of settings, (key fob opening and closing windows etc)

Having purchased VCDS I am now looking for a laptop or equivalent to run this program

I have a desktop pc but obviously need something mobile to take out to the car to run this software

I own an iPad AIR but obviously no USB renders this unit useless unless someone tells me different.

Look forward to reading what people use so I can make a purchase very soon.

Unless you are going to use the laptop for other things, I would go for the cheapest Windows equipped device with a USB interface. I don't think the VCDS software is unduly demanding in processing power.
