Hi. My previous posts on here have been regarding gearbox issues however after much extensive work I have the same issues.

Before I had a new clutch, flywheel & new reconditioned box I was having real bad issues changing from 1st - 2nd gear from cold, it would grind. The problem used to be worse when changing from 1st - 2nd while turning right (eg pulling out onto a road & turning right, or driving round a roundabout.) The force exerted on the car made 1st - 2nd even harder to get into gear.

I have since had a new clutch & flywheel January 2015 and as that never fully resolved all problems I have only just last week had a completely different unit put in, a reconditioned gearbox.

Ok so now driving it on the straights are fine much better than before but I still have the issue when changing from 1st - 2nd while going hard right where the gear change grinds/clips. What could possibly be phyisically moving to cause this? Changing on the straights are perfect!

Also the other issue that never got resolved is.. From cold eg first morning start up, when I depress the clutch pedal even only a couple of inches there's a noise. It kinda sounds like the rattle of the diesel engine but a lot deeper. Is there some of motor that comes in when you depress the clutch to aid eg similar to power steering?

All this and yet everythings different clutch, flywheel, reconditioned box!

Car is a Mk5 Golf GT TDI 140 bkd engine with a 6 speed gearbox

Thank you!
