Check the washer pump, this is the pump with two ports (Is located below the power steering oil tank) One goes to the back window and the the second go to the Front windscreen. Look for water leaks from the system (under the rear seat driver side. The feeding tube passes ther and sometimes broken And leaving a water puddle ) The washer in the rear window blocked or a broken water pipe

Quite common to have the water pipe come apart. Can also be inside the rear tailgate.
Ok where would it come apart? And also where could it split open? I have water in the drivers footwell?

Try these threads or search the forum. It is pretty common but I don't think it went into the driver footwell.
Thanks for that. I've just cleaned the drains on the plenum chamber and they were totally blocked up, so I'm guessing that was probably the water problem. I'll try and track down the washer now.

That sounds like it. They are a pain, I took out the rubber grommets on mine as they just kept blocking.
Yeah that sounds like a better idea. Mine were totally blocked up with all kinds of stuff, however when I was cleaning the one under the servo I managed to push the grommet through the hole, do you think that would matter?

Don't think so, I did exactly the same with the one under the battery so just took the other out as well. No problems in the next 3 years I had the car.

Hope that will help you
The washer seems to be leaking out of the n/s rear wheel arch. Any ideas?

There is a connection there for the washer hose, you can fish it out with your hands down the side of the air tank, access from inside the boot obviously, the connector normally pops if you don't have decent screen wash to stop the washer fluid freezing.
Brilliant .. Thanks for that I'll check it out. Can you get at it past the air tank?

It was a few years ago I did mine, it was not difficult, I might have had to remove the cd changer to get my hand in there, it was certainly easy from memory!
Ok I'll have a look at that when I get a minute .. Thanks
